On Dutch:
Of course it is important to work towards the testing of your proficiency in your chosen language but the steps towards this end should be about grasping a good understanding of the language and culture you wish to inhabit. Being able to picture the way a phrase is assembled in any culture, including nuances, exclamations and mannerisms, etc. can all go towards gaining stronger insights whilst building a strong basis for fluency and accuracy. With a solid structure in place your new language should live with you for life not just for the moment.

On Drama:
For as long as I can remember I have always wanted to act. From a very early age, I took to the stage, and was also mesmerised by the disney movies my mother took me to see on a weekly basis as a child. As a teenager, attending the theatre, especially the Royal National Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company, was something I did with a passion. Since that time I have been living out my dreams, trained as a professional actress, I attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) and shortly afterwards, gained tremendous training ground working at the Royal Shakespeare Company, 2 seasons running. I have trod many a board performing classics like: Shakespeare, Moliere and Modern Classics like: Chekov, Strindberg and have also enjoyed a successful screen career in shows like Dr Who, Holby City and Sense8.

Most recently: BREEDERS - Martin Freeman. INTERGALACTIC. And in THEATRE, Summer 2021, Caryl Churchill Plays opposite Paul McGann at Greenwich Theatre.

Experience: Teaching Dutch:
Includes teaching within mainstream classrooms;; in the private sector;; teaching Dutch as a foreign language to students in the UK and abroad. I also teach Dutch as a foreign language on a regular basis via Skype, reaching a wider international audience, and have taught in this way for over a decade. I was born in England, but moved to Holland aged 9, and so I have two mother tongues English & Dutch. My family still live in Holland, I travel back and forth regularly several times a year.
I have also recorded several additional jobs in Dutch. Filming in Dutch for television, voice over work (incl. ADR) and Translation work. Dutch/English - English/Dutch.
I have also carried out investigative Dutch research and journalism.

Qualifications: Professional Degree in Acting (RADA). Fluent Dutch (Mother tongue).

Teaching Drama:
Includes, the LAMDA Examinations (with a high success rate of students attaining `Gold level`standard)
Teaching Drama as a private tutor, and also for Corporate groups and schools interested in various Drama Workshops [including for children: Shakespeare;; Faust & Moliere].
Teaching Drama in Schools and teaching Drama to students with behavioral challenges and/or Truancy issues.
My style is wonderfully creative and engaging and the standards students aspire to and often reach, never ceases to inspire and delight.
