Information about Jenni
My name is Jenni and I am a 4th year medical student at Cambridge university. At A-level I achieved 3A*s in Biology, Chemistry and Pure Mathematics with an A in AS Physics. At GCSE, I achieved 9A*s and 2As. I am an organised and friendly person, looking to tutor Biology, A level or GCSE, Physics, Chemistry and Maths up to GCSE level. I would be delighted to help and encourage other aspiring medical students with the application process, going over; personal statements, work experience, entrance exams and interview preparation. As a medical student, I am in the Cambridge area for the majority of the year. If possible, I prefer to work on weekends.
Availability: As a medical student, I am in the Cambridge area for the majority of the year. If possible I prefer to work on weekends.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I have teaching experience and frequently babysit. When I do the latter, I help the children with their homework (up to the level of GCSEs). I also have a younger sister who I have helped through her GCSEs and A-levels. In medical school, there is a large emphasise upon helping colleagues as well as those in years below which have undoubtedly helped me to enhance my teaching skills. I have tutored students last year to a great success. My approach to tutoring is as follows. I begin by finding out the level of the student and their desired grades. I then address the topics which the student finds particularly difficult and following from this, our aim is to be ahead with the curriculum, so the student finds themselves in good stead for their lessons. I like to put an emphasis upon student understanding rather than rote-learning, this facilitates deeper thought and curiosity surrounding these concepts, hopefully adding to their enjoyment in learning.

We have only just started with Jenni but she is lovely and very approachable. My daughter says she is easy to understand and she explains things well. We met before hand to discuss what we wanted and areas of the subject of concern. She is teaching chemistry and physics.
