I am a friendly, jolly and experienced female science teacher who is passionate about helping students `get it` and reach their goal, whether that`s a C/4 or an A/9. I have taught in secondary schools in the Bristol area for 12 years.

Students say that I explain concepts well and I`ve had many leadership responsibilities within science so know the ins and outs of the specifications, exams, teaching methods and student concerns. My most recent responsibility was KS5 Science lead and this alongside having a 6th form tutor group means I foster great relationships with these year groups. I have a lot of experience working with KS3 and KS4 too and would love to help students build their confidence in the subject and prepare them for exams. I have stepped back from my leadership role so I can have more control over my working time and time for hobbies.

I am happy to travel to student`s houses in the south Bristol area.

Due to caring for my baby until my husband returns from work, and a changed working schedule for him, I am very restricted in available times.
I understand these timings will not be suitable for most but should you think they work for you, please get in touch.
Weekdays after 7pm.
Sunday mornings between 9 and 11.

Online tutoring is therefore preferable but short journeys to homes will be considered.

Experience: I taught in a large South Gloucestershire school for 9 years and have been at a large south Bristol school for 3 years.

Throughout this time I have taught A Level Biology, Separate Science GCSE Biology, Combined Science GCSE and all science to KS3.

I am confident in tutoring students across any exam board, but have specific experience with the following:
- KS3 science
- AQA combined science GCSE
- AQA biology GCSE
- OCR Biology A-level
