Information about Eleanor
I am a Natural Sciences student at the University of Birmingham, looking to tutor over the summer. I teach maths, chemistry, biology, and physics. I am available to teach at up to GCSE or provide additional support for A Level students (physics only up to GCSE). I want to encourage enjoyment of the subject as well as helping to pass exams so where possible I work with students` interests and incorporate games or challenges into lessons. My teaching style is flexible, relatively relaxed and I try to engage in a friendly relationship with my pupils.
Availability: I am available for online 9am - 8pm every day, excluding Wednesdays 1-2pm and Fridays after 2pm.
Willing to travel: 8 miles
Experience: During sixth form I tutored two year 11 students who needed extra help to pass GCSE mathematics once a week for one hour. I was recommended for this by one of my teachers because of my mathematical ability and having seen me help others in class. Both students successfully passed, with grades B and C. I then continued to tutor during my gap year for English, maths and science for KS1 GCSE students. I have tutored a mixture of schooled and home educated students.
