Information about Nicola
I went into teaching because I feel passionately about ensuring all children are supported to reach their potential and this passion has only grown over the years.
I live with my two children, one who is currently living at home whilst attending university and another preparing to enter year 9.
My other passion in life is music and I play the bass guitar in a band. In my free time, When I`m not gigging or rehearsing, I can often be found watching Star Trek or reading.
Availability: Current availability during term time: Tuesday and Wednesday evenings; Monday, Thursday and Friday mornings; Saturday and Sunday mornings.
I am also now taking on pupils during the summer holidays - please get in touch to discuss days/time.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: Since qualifying as a primary school teacher in 2008, I have worked in schools around the North Birmingham and Walsall areas. I currently teach part time in years 2 - 6 in Walsall.
Having provided interventions within schools, I have enjoyed focused 1-2-1 work to bridge gaps in learning and ensure progress is made.
I am passionate about making lessons personally meaningful and interactive for pupils and love that moment when a previously `tricky` concept suddenly falls into place and makes sense - it`s why I do the job!
I have experience teaching children with Special Educational Needs and feel strongly about meeting all children`s learning needs.
I am also available for Home Education support across the full curriculum.
