Hi, my name is Safah and I am the Deputy Training Officer and post-graduate scientist in a molecular microbiology laboratory.

I am available for online and in-person lessons in the Coventry area for primary school science (KS2 chemistry, physics and biology), secondary school biology (KS3) and GCSE Biology and A-level Biology.

I obtained a First Class Honours in Biochemistry with a year in industry from the University of Warwick.

Availability: I am available on the evenings on weekdays and weekends

Willing to travel: 50 miles

Experience: I have previously tutored students throughout my years in full-time education. Additionally, I have experience in proofreading essays and personal statements.

I like to adapt my lessons to each student as everyone is different. For example, I am open to focusing on exam questions or explaining topics to the student (e.g. through visuals like diagrams) to help them understand it better. For primary school children, I try to keep the lesson engaging so that the student keeps their attention on the work.

To get the best out of your learning, we will go through the curriculum together in the first lesson and identify areas that may need improvement. Each lesson plan is adapted for the student and their individual needs. I prefer this teaching approach because the student can develop their knowledge of the topic without feeling too overwhelmed.
