I am a 4th year medical student studying at Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry (QMUL) and have completed my MSc on Creative Arts and Mental Health. I tutor A-Level [OCR], year 7 to GCSE [AQA] Biology, year 7 to GCSE Maths. I realise that exams can be stressful especially if you want to get into your chosen university and this relies heavily on your grades. I recognise the stress involved and want to help students achieve their goal grades. I think refining learning techniques is important and to support this I can create power points in order to provide visual aids for students as well as ensuring they have practice questions to make their learning as active as possible and hence effective. I strive to take an individual approach to each student and share tips that I believe have been extremely valuable for myself achieving my own grades [A*(in Biology) AAB in A-Level and 10A*at GCSEs].
As a medical student I remember how tough the application process felt for me at the time and I received offers from Imperial College London, Barts and interviews at Kings and Birmingham. I’m more than happy to share advice to help mentor students who are applying for medicine or dentistry too, whether this be for the UKCAT, BMAT, interviews or personal statement.
I can also offer discounts for group teaching and will provide constructive feedback to students or parents so that they always know how to improve their exam performance [ alongside English I also speak Tamil if this is of assistance].
