I am a qualified and experienced teacher who has worked as a freelance maths tutor for over 20 years and in secondary schools, colleges and as a local authority home tutor. I am a GCSE mathematics subject specialist. I can offer tuition in your home. Age range 10 years-adult. I also offer therapeutic play and project work 5-12 years where the focus is not a particular academic curriculum, but could still be a child-led special interest as long as I am able to facilitate this.

As a mathematics teacher and lecturer I have taught and tutored mathematics to GCSE higher level. I have worked with some children with a diagnosis of specific learning difficulties or SEND (e.g. dyslexia, ADHD, autism, SEMH ), and I can bring useful methods to the tutoring situation to help a wide range of learners.

Students can become frustrated if they can`t make sense of the mathematics they are expected to master. Using strategies that encourage and develop the creative talents and thinking skills all learners already possess, I aim to help all students get back on track, so they can develop confidence in their own powers. I offer maths tuition tailored to the individual student that supports their school work and exam preparation.

Travel costs are 50p a mile for any travel I do above a 20 mile return journey from North Hampshire or my location before your appointment.

Availability: Some availability in the day currently on Wednesday and Thursday, as well as after school and evenings and weekends.
