Hello, I gained Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) from the Institute of Education (IOE), #1 in the world for Teacher Training. I am a Maths teacher in an Inner London secondary school, and I have experience teaching top-set Mathematics, mixed-ability classes, as well as bottom-set classes with SEN needs. I have a wide variety of teaching experience. Mathematics is a fantastic subject and I look forward to build a student`s confidence in their Mathematics education and therefore their success in the subject.

I am inspired by Carol Dweck`s Growth Mindset which has shaped a large part of my teaching ethos. I believe that students are not merely innately talented at a subject, but it is hard-work, persistence and resilience that drives high grades and builds one`s intelligence. By instilling these transferrable skills and developing this mindset, this increases pupils motivation and determination, which translates to greater effort and stronger grades. I was taught in an underprivileged state school, and was an independent enthusiastic learner who pushed myself outside of lessons. I achieved 11A*s at GCSE, the highest in the school, regardless of an unambitious school and peer culture. I would like to instil this ethos of hard-work and resilience in students and tutees.

The course is delivered in partnership with UCL, specifically, the Institute of Education (IoE), one of the most prestigious departments within UCL and recognised as #1 in the world for education and teacher training.
