I am an approachable Biology lecturer with 12 years of experience working with young adults in Science education. I love my subject and very much enjoy facilitating others in their study of it.

My aim is to enhance the confidence of students, making them feel at ease to ask questions about anything they do not understand from the course content.

The knowledge application and maths expectation of this subject at A-Level (both AQA and OCR) is demanding, and are understandably the areas which students most commonly find tricky, especially with the new linear syllabus.

My approach is a combination of strengthening foundation knowledge through re-teaching certain aspects to reinforce content, and moving forward using exam questions to the appropriate level of individual understanding. I am passionate about building an intrinsic confidence in my students to allow them to feel their own capability, leading them to push themselves to achieve higher than they originally expected.

Availability: Weekday evenings 6-9pm

Weekends 9-11am

Sundays 6-9pm

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: 12 years of Science teaching experience in GCSE, with Biology to A-Level.

I have taught in UK secondary schools, post-16 college and at an international bilingual school in Paris.
