I have a BA in History from Cambridge University, and have recently finished an MA at UCL in Legal and Political Theory. I am an enthusiastic and adaptable teacher with more than two years experience tutoring a wide range of students.

I take a dynamic approach to teaching, assessing students` personal goals and learning styles in order to provide them with the best learning experience possible. Above all else, I am committed to instilling a sense of confidence in my tutees, identifying areas of strength to build and capitalise on. Having overcome my own struggles with dyslexia I am particularly well placed to offer all students with personally tailored advice on study technique, essay structuring, and exam preparation, as well as boosting individuals’ confidence in their own ability to thrive and succeed.

I am excited about the prospect of passing these techniques on to students of all levels, in order to help them achieve their personal goals. My 4 A* grades at A level in History, English Literature, Philosophy and EPQ, and Cambridge degree, leave me fully equipped to do just this.

Experience: I have extensive experience tutoring both online and in person. Over the last two years I have worked with around 12-15 students per week from ages 9-18. I am proud to say that every student I have worked with so far has reached the goal we set at the beginning of our first session.

The structure of one to one supervision in Cambridge has instilled in me a firm belief that a personal approach to education is key, and I am excited to practice this in my own tutoring. The key to success is confidence and enjoyment. Every student is unique, and my approach is highly personal, catered to individual needs and requirements. Achieving highly at any level in exams is as much a matter of hard work and understanding the system as it is personal ability. Equipping my students with the necessary knowledge of the exam system, whilst also helping them to enjoy their work, will be the key to our joint success.


There are, nonetheless, certain core continuities in my tutoring style. I am a strong believer that achieving success is as much a matter of knowing how to improve, as it is academic ability and hard work. My teaching methods thus centre around making sure my students have a clear understanding of what is required of them. We will work together on making sure that you can effectively display all the skills and content that the examiner will be looking for in order to ensure that you attain your optimum result. In order to do this, we will discuss the syllabus thoroughly to ensure that you have a full understanding of the course content. We will also focus on essay planning and technique to guarantee that you are able to translate this knowledge effectively onto paper. In addition to this, we will discuss tactics for revising in a time efficient and effective manner.
