I am a dedicated and passionate tutor with over three years of experience teaching students aged 6 to 17 in a range of subjects, including Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics. I am currently pursuing a Research Master’s in Biomedical Neurology, following my BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science from the University of Plymouth.

My tutoring sessions are conducted in the Charles Seale-Hayne Library at the University of Plymouth, a quiet, resource-rich environment ideal for focused learning. I provide all necessary learning materials, along with snacks (with parental approval), ensuring students remain energized and prepared throughout each session. My teaching methods are tailored to each student`s individual needs, utilizing a mix of visual, kinesthetic, and interactive techniques. I also specialize in supporting students with ADHD and ASD by creating a structured, adaptable, and supportive learning environment.

To help you feel confident in your choice, I offer a free 1-hour trial session and an initial Zoom consultation to address any specific questions or requirements. For the student’s health and safety, I provide a contract that allows them to communicate their boundaries and expectations openly.

Availability: I offer tutoring sessions primarily on weekends to accommodate school schedules, ensuring students have ample time to focus without disrupting their academic commitments. I am available during both term time and holidays, providing flexibility to suit your needs. Weekdays are also an option if weekends are not convenient for you, and I am happy to work around your schedule to find a time that fits best.

For added flexibility, I also provide online tuition. While online sessions can be highly effective, they may be more suitable for certain learning styles. For instance, kinesthetic learning, which often relies on hands-on activities and physical interaction, can be more challenging to implement virtually. However, I always strive to adapt my teaching methods to suit the student’s needs, ensuring a productive and engaging learning experience whether in person or online.

Experience: I have extensive experience as a self-employed academic tutor, having worked with Plymouth Private Tutors (PPT) and independently. At PPT, I underwent a rigorous assessment process, including delivering a lecture during the interview, where my teaching skills were thoroughly evaluated to ensure that clients received top-quality instruction. During my time there, I worked with primary school, GCSE, and A-level students, specializing in triple science and mathematics.

I proudly served as a tutor with PPT for one year before transitioning to private tutoring, which I have been doing for the past two years. I plan to continue providing GCSE tuition while pursuing my Master’s degree. Over the years, I have built strong, trusting relationships with many students and their families, who would be more than happy to provide references upon request.
