My journey as an educator began with my father’s inspiration. I was raised as an inquirer and a thinker and have never lost the urge to strive for a deeper understanding of the connections between human beings. I believe this connection to be at the very heart of international understanding. As a pedagogical leader and IBPYP workshop Leader, I strive to promote understanding and growth through collaboration, co-teaching and open dialogue with other educators around the world. The difficult questions raised in these arenas keep me challenged towards new learning of my own. I completed my Masters’ Degree in Educational Leadership this summer and intend to continue my lifelong journey of learning as I have done in every year of my professional life.
I believe that learners come with innate curiosity and capability, so it is my intention to facilitate all that is needed to construct and expand learners’ own truths. I also understand that learners of any age need to have ownership of their learning and that emotional connections, choice, risk, enjoyment and reflection are central to enduring understanding. Setting learners up for success is a complex, careful process involving planning for all the ways of knowing and thus demonstrating deeper understanding. I aim to prepare learners for a place in the world where they are capable of positively adapting to changes and responding with a sense of their own individuality and an awareness of their interdependence with others

Availability: I am available from June for English tuition for any age student. As a primary generalist, I can also offer tuition in a range of subjects at the primary level.
