Information about Mark
I am a very capable engineering graduate from the University of Bristol. I take considerable satisfaction in helping others overcome difficult hurdles.
From personal experience I know that it is hard to enjoy activities that are difficult, and without enjoying yourself it is hard to do well. From this, I always aim to identify the underlying cause for finding a task difficult and rectify it.
I always aim to support and supplement the education the tutee is already receiving, in order to minimise confusion and enhance continuity. However, if the tutee requires an entirely different angle of teaching then I can pull from my wide range of experiences to provide a new approach.
Availability: Generally evenings and weekends
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I have a very well rounded education, and take part in sport and music at a high level. I achieved good grades in all subjects from GCSEs all the way through to my university degree in engineering.
Along with mentoring younger undergraduates at university, I coached sport and music. I also completed a week long summer course, mentoring potential students for the University of Bristol. Stemming from this I have an enhanced DBS certificate, which I can produce if you require.
