Rose-marie

My name is Rose-Marie. I am a 28 year old native French speaking teacher living in St Albans. I would love to tutor children or adults who would like to learn or improve their knowledge of French, and can prepare learners for GCSE and A level exams.

I am a Teacher of French and Spanish in a secondary comprehensive school and my experience includes the teaching of Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. I have developed as a teacher who has an acute knowledge of my students’ learning processes, and I deliver lessons that allow them to learn socially and safely in an environment of challenge and support. I have an extensive knowledge of the GCSE and A Level specifications and as a result have seen 4 classes achieve success in their GCSE and A level exams. Several of my students have taken languages further at university.

I have also had the opportunity to coach a trainee teacher, which has allowed me to better reflect on my own pedagogy.

Availability: I am available every single days of the week, except from Saturday and Sunday.

Experience: Having started my PGCE in Secondary Modern Foreign Languages in 2016, I have been teaching in secondary comprehensive schools for 4 years. I have taught children from year 7 to year 13, and have enjoyed it thoroughly.

Prior to this, between 2014 and 2016 I was an aupair for the children of 3 families. My role was to support the children with their daily routines, including their school work. In the case of one family I actively engaged the children in speaking French on a daily basis.
