I have an upper second class degree in Biology from the University of Manchester. I also have experience working in both secondary schools and higher education. I am currently studying for a Masters in Public Health at the University of Warwick.
I understand which concepts students tend to struggle with and can explain them in a clear and straightforward way. I am particularly good at engaging students and helping them to build their confidence.

Mondays: during the school day
Tuesdays: during the school day and 3.30pm-7.30pm
Wednesdays: during the school day and 3.30pm-7.30pm
Thursdays: no current availability
Fridays: 3pm-4.30pm and 6.30pm onwards
I offer a free first lesson to all students so that they can get to know me and how I tutor before committing to paid tuition. I charge £35 per hour for all tuition.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I spent two years working as a Graduate science Coach at Blue Coat Academy in Walsall. I taught Science to small groups of KS3 and GCSE students and had a year 11 tutor group.
In January 2016 I began working for the Open University as an Associate Lecturer. Initially I taught on SDK100 Science and Health which is a 60 credit level 1 comprising nine key topics in Health Sciences.
I now teach on three further modules within the STEM faculty; SK299 Human Biology, SK320 Infectious Disease & Public Health and U116 Environment: Journeys through a changing world.
Feedback For Michelle (3)
Michelle has been very helpful , our daughter seems to be progressing well.
We are very happy to recommend her to other students.
Fantastic friendly teacher, really supportive to my daughter and would highly recommend
Michelle has been a tremendous help with my daughter`s biology studies, she listens to the student in order to focus the lessons on topics that need to be covered, bringing her own resources to be used outside of the lessons, to continue the learning process. I would highly recommend Michelle.
