Information about Sam
I am a doctor working as a cardiovascular research scientist at the University of Oxford for the British Heart Foundation. I completed my PhD in Biology (Physiology with Pharmacology) over 4 years ago. I have been studying continuously since I was a child and really feel my experience, study techniques and science knowledge will really benefit any child that would like me as their tutor.
At GCSE level I achieved 6 A*`s and 4 A`s and have A-levels in Biology, Maths and Physics. I have a wide knowledge of science and Maths.
Availability: I am available all week nights and some weekends.
Willing to travel: 30 miles
Experience: I have had many years experience of teaching at a university level, teaching seminars, tutorials and practicals to Medical Students and Biological Sciences students. I have supervised PhD students and masters students over the last 7 years. I have younger relatives and have helped them through their science exams.
I have attended schools for the British Heart Foundation to make children aware of the basic mechanisms of the heart and the benefits of exercise and healthy living using fun science activities.
