Hi, I`m Suki. I`m a writer who is passionate about language and literature. As a teacher, I hope to help you or your child use language in a way that will equip, empower and encourage.

The lessons I offer include:

-Learning English as a second language. I have a CELTA, 120-Hour TEFL qualification and experience helping non-native speakers at all stages of their journey, from absolute beginners to academic or professional support for advanced speakers. I have an in-depth knowledge of the OET exam.

-Academic support at a School, College or University level. I am a Masters level Graduate with a First in English Literature from The University of Glasgow. I have experience providing peer support and am keen to help younger learners get excited about literature, reading and critical engagement.

-Creative Writing. As well as a Distinction MLitt in Creative Writing from The University of Glasgow, I am a published writer and poet with editorial experience. I believe creativity should be accessible to all, and am able to help native and non-native English speakers express themselves creatively.

My teaching style is dependent on my student and their goals. My tutoring style provide additional support with an ongoing curriculum, but I am also experienced in lesson planning. I believe in transparent communication, and will provide regular feedback on your progress and encourage feedback on my lessons.

When I`m not working, I like to read and spend time with my cats. I`m currently an intermediate Mandarin speaker, and I`m always trying to learn!
