Information about Saloni

I am a hardworking and enthusiastic medical student in my 3rd year at Kings College London. I am in the the top 20% of my year at university. Having really enjoyed studying maths and the sciences in high school I would love to have the opportunity to teach those younger than me.

I ranked in the top decile for the UCAT, and also received 4 interview offers to study medicine and I would love to be able to help with personal statement writing, UCAT, or interview practice!

I have undertook a teaching module in my university, whereI taught a 1 hour session to my peers about a specific medical topic and wrote a 2500 word essay reflecting upon my good points as well as my drawbacks. I really enjoyed this teaching session and I hope to be fortunate enough to teach other people.

I went to Merchant Taylor’s Senior Girls School in Crosby where I achieved 10A* in my GCSE’s and 2A* and an A in my A levels. In addition to academia I was an active member of the school’s netball and hockey team for 7 years and was also given the role of house captain. I was a member of the Combined Cadet Force where I achieved the rank of a Sergeant Major. As a senior cadet I taught the younger cadets about first aid and orientation which instilled a lot of leadership and confidence in me.

Volunteering at a disabled high school for children has given me a lot of experience teaching children and I would love to gain more experience.

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: I have been tutoring for the past 3 years! I have loved every single minute of it. I am currently tutoring pupils in A Level and GCSE maths and chemistry.
