My name is Alp and I am currently studying Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) at King’s College London. I achieved A*AB at A-Level in Geography, Economics and Maths, while overcoming significant extenuating circumstances during my studies. This experience strengthened my resilience, determination, and ability to remain focused under pressure. I also achieved seven Grade 8s and two Grade 7s at GCSE, demonstrating a strong academic record across multiple subjects.

I have extensive tutoring experience working with students from Key Stage 1 through to A Level. At Prime Tuition, I taught both one-to-one and small group lessons, helping students strengthen their understanding of challenging topics, improve exam technique, and build confidence in their abilities. I have also supported students with different learning styles, adapting my teaching methods to suit each individual student.

My tutoring approach focuses on making complex topics clear and accessible while developing strong problem-solving and exam skills. I aim to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and are motivated to reach their full academic potential.

Availability: I am available Monday to Friday from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm, and I offer full-day availability on weekends, allowing me to be highly flexible and accommodating to each student’s schedule.

Experience: I have worked as a Maths tutor at a tuition company where I taught small groups of students aged 5–18. This role strengthened my ability to adapt my teaching style to suit different age groups, learning abilities, and levels of confidence. I focused on helping students build a strong understanding of key mathematical concepts while improving their problem-solving skills and confidence in the subject.

I also currently work as an online tutor at Legacy Academy, delivering one-to-one lessons tailored to each student’s needs. In this role, I support students with exam preparation, structured practice, and targeted feedback to help them make consistent academic progress.

Previously, I completed work experience as a teaching assistant at Avondale Park Primary School, where I supported children from diverse backgrounds and with a wide range of abilities. During this time, I gained valuable experience working with students with special educational needs, developing patience, empathy, and effective strategies to support their learning.

During sixth form, I was selected as Head Boy, where I mentored students from Year 7 to Year 13. I provided guidance on both academic and behavioural challenges, helping to create a positive and supportive school environment. This experience strengthened my leadership, communication, and mentoring skills, and further developed my passion for supporting students in reaching their full potential.
