Information about Fern
My 36 years teaching experience throughout 11 -18 schools and colleges in UK makes me well qualified and experienced to teach English Language and English Literature to KS3, GCSE and AS / A2 level.
I have examined for many GCSE and A level boards and relish the chance to interact with students so that they can achieve their full potential.
My track record of Outstanding results is consistently high and previous students have gone on to Oxbridge and Harvard.
Availability: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 5- 8 pm.
Saturdays and Sundays 10 - 5 pm.

Fern has been tutoring our son for his GCSE English for a few months now. I asked him how he would describe her. He immediately said "patient" and "understanding". I asked him for a third word and he said "benevolent", which I think is indicative in itself of how his English has come on leaps and bounds since he started lessons with Fern. We struck gold the day we found Fern on tutor hunt. She is such a lovely, gentle person and we look forward to her weekly visits. Fern is incredibly knowledgeable and experienced. The progress our son has made has already been noted by his school and his confidence has soared. I think he has even started to enjoy English!! Thank you Fern! We highly recommend Fern.

Too early to give a proper feedback since my daughter had only 3 lessons so far. She is enjoying the lessons

I would highly recommend Fern. She is very prompt responding to messages and she has been accomodating regarding appointment times and locations. My A Level child has only had 2 sessions so far but is already feeling much more confident about his looming exams. Fern is positive, practical and enthusiastic about the subject and relates well to my child. Its early days but I feel she will be a great support in the run up to the exam period. Thank you Fern.
