Information about Marie-paule
After qualifying with a PGCE in Modern Languages (French), I have been teaching French, my mother tongue, for 15 years in many secondary schools and colleges in London and I have a very sound knowledge of diverse exam boards for GCSE and A level exams. I can also help in any areas of language requested for the French citizenship exams.
I also completed an MA in Psychology of Education at the Institute of Education London, a psycho-therapeutic counselling Diploma and I am a qualified Specialised Teacher for students with Dyslexia and students with Processing and Memory issues.
I have worked as a Specialist teacher and a SENCO for many years and my psychotherapeutic counselling qualification has enabled me to understand and support students in distress, with mental Health issues or who are struggling with academic demands. My holistic and multi sensory approach has enabled me to boost students confidence and to support them achieving top grades (9) in their GCSEs. I can teach French but as a SEN teacher, I am very familiar with the GCSE English curriculum (Edexcel) and I have many years of helping students preparing for the English Language and English Literature exams. I can teach effective techniques and study skills to maximise marks, focusing on essay planning, understanding the Assessment Objectives and how to answer tricky questions on an exam paper, strategies on how to approach an exam paper and time management.
I can also help with techniques to develop positive energies during exam times.
Get in touch if you are desperate and I will be happy to support you with:
- French GCSE to A Level (AQA, Edexcel)
- English GCSE exams (all aspects of English Literature and English Language (Edexcel)
- Study skills for students with SpLD (Dyslexia and other Specific Learning Difficulties).
