An experienced chemistry teacher with a background in high achieving schools both in the UK and internationally currently working at a high achieving grammar school. Skilled in identifying and rectifying misconceptions and knowledge gaps that cause marks to be lost during assessments. A firm believer that every student is different and tailors the tutoring sessions to best match the individual need of the student be it pushing for top grades or ensuring a good pass is secured.

Experience: An experienced teacher of GCSE, IGCSE, A level (AQA) and IB (Standard and Higher). Qualified in 2005 and started my career at a selective mixed school in Liverpool. I spent 5 Years teaching at a top British International School in Asia. Gained valuable experience working with English as an Additional Language (EAL) students developing effective communication skills and was promoted to Head of Middle Secondary - equivalent to Assistant Head in the UK. Having left the profession for a period to work in the private sector in areas such as AI medical technology and run my own medtech company, I have returned to teaching and have worked at a range of high achieving grammar and comprehensive schools. As a tutor my most recent GCSE student was elevated from a high 3 to a 7 over the course of a year.
