Experience: For the last few years I have been teaching Functional Skills, GCSE, Pre A-level, AS/A2 and Further Mathematics with a large group of students including international students I taught them privately and institutionally. I currently teach GCSE business, A-Level Accounting, Functional Skills, GCSE and A level Mathematics.

Throughout my years of teaching students I have observed that many of my Mathematics students lack confidence and/or express negative feelings towards Maths, which much of the time is the main barrier to learning. To make Mathematics more interesting and enjoyable in order to improve exam grades and student satisfaction I always monitor and evaluate the techniques of teaching for example one of my techniques of teaching is including maths software such as m [contact detail removed] The Maths games on [contact detail removed]can be very helpful in certain topics e.g. fractions. I use a combination of maths software and traditional methods consisting of textbook use and whiteboard use to teach Mathematics. The many different resources I use on a continuing basis are to maintain the course quality in order to increase the students’ interest of mathematics and help them work to their full potential.

Assessment for Learning is essential when monitoring and evaluating course quality. I use Value Added tests, class tests, homework, class observations and mock tests and other formative methods of assessment. By doing these I can receive an insight into the performance of my students. I arrange and teach extra classes for additional support aimed at risk learners. In my opinion course reviews and student ILP’s are important and help students meet their targets, for this reason I carry out course reviews and set up student ILP’s.

Great Tutor, my son loves his lessons, even though he only has had two sessions with Kazi, explains concepts very well. Highly recommended.
