Physics specialist with over 25 years` experience teaching GCSE (AQA) in local secondary schools, up to date with curriculum. I have also tutored students on the Edexcel syllabus and for iGCSE.
Excellent record for all level of abilities, judged as outstanding by Ofsted.
I have taught combined science GCSE and KS3 science and also Single GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
I believe that all students can improve their grades with the right motivation and quality tutoring, I enjoy being able to make a difference.
Each student receives an individualised programme of lessons with focus upon both content and examination technique.

From our initial contact, Nick has been nothing but professional and full of helpful advice. Being an ex teacher, he gave us as parents, confidence and guidance on the route of using a tutor. We were total novices as we haven`t had any previous experience in finding a tutor. Our daughter E (16) is now being home schooled and Nick is teaching her the 3 GCSE Sciences, ready to sit exams as a private candidate next year. Nick has constructed a bespoke timetable of learning for E. He has a way of making E feel at ease and has a fun way of teaching these subjects of what can sometimes be tricky or hard to grasp. Regular homework is set, if required, and marked weekly which all helps E towards her revision. We are really happy to of found Nick, and would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a science tutor. L&P Martin

Nick is very dedicated, he is helping our son understand the subject better and has provided plenty of additional learning aids for him. Exams have not been sat yet but I`m confident that we will see an improvment in grades.

Nick is a great teacher. His sessions are pacy and I love the way he relates physics to real life situations and encourages my son to orally explain his ideas. Great up to date knowledge of the GCSE curriculum and exam technique. Really pleased with my son`s progress.
