Qualified Chartered Accountant, with a BSc Mathematics and Management First Class Honours degree from Loughborough University. During the pandemic, I have successfully delivered many lessons via Zoom, with students receiving a copy of the lesson notes and questions covered, as well as topic summaries. I am currently working as a management accountant and am available to teach on weekends and weekday evenings.
I was inspired to become a Maths tutor from my own experience of studying both A-Level and GCSE Mathematics. It was a subject I feared myself, but quickly became my favourite when my own tutor broke it down into simple terms for me - I aim to do the same for my own students. Whilst the subject can be challenging, I approach the topics together with the student by breaking it down and summarising into bite-size pieces. I also focus on question practice and exam preparation.
I believe my experience of going through university, looking for a job and obtaining a professional qualification will also help my students to gain more insight into the professional working world. I would be happy to mentor my students and provide them with any advice on further education and jobs.
