To be good at maths you need to understand it. Too often students are taught techniques to answer questions without understanding why the techniques work. Students taught this way have to remember every technique for every type of question and also find it difficult to answer questions that are slightly different to those previously encountered. In short, they find maths difficult. I teach students to understand mathematics. As a consequence, my students not only find the subject becoming easier and easier, but they also come to appreciate the beauty and the power of maths.

I have built a reputation for making maths generally and A level maths in particular, easy to understand and most of my students have come to me as a result of recommendations from previous students.

Availability: Any time- Mondays to Thursdays only.

Experience: I have a degree in Physics from Oxford university and have trained, qualified and worked as a maths teacher. I have been teaching privately since 2013.
