I am a masters graduate in mathematical physics at the University of Edinburgh. I am currently completing a second masters in research with the University of York (although I still live in Edinburgh).

I have extensive tutoring experience in a wide variety of subjects and in all age categories, which makes me extremely adaptable to the needs of the student.
My approach is highly adapted to YOUR needs: every individual learns differently and develops better with different methods. The only consistent factor is that you must begin from where the student is at any time.

Although I achieved very high grades at school (A*, A*, A, A), it only came from work. I was (and still am) dyslexic which forced me to develop my own learning methodologies in order to succeed, as the conventional system was not adapted to me. I have found that this has been tremendously useful when working with students who struggle in the standard school system. I believe a far higher proportion of students have the capacity to succeed than currently do.

I believe enthusiasm for a subject is a vital part of learning and I look to stimulate interest in all my classes. In sciences in particular I have found that understanding comes when it is linked to the current understanding of the real world

Experience: I have been tutoring since I am 16 years old (ten years now). I have worked with students of all ages and abilities, from those who were retaking GCSEs to those preparing their entrance exams to Oxford.
