I am an experienced teacher with a strong track record of success, both in my full time employment and private tuition. I use creative and engaging methods to enable pupils to access English in ways that develop their confidence, knowledge and skills. With over fifteen years of experience and several years as a Head of Department, I have a thorough knowledge of all exams and specifications. In my private tuition practice, I use enjoyable methods but also set challenging tasks to push pupils to achieve their potential; homework is also a regular feature of my tutorials. I am passionate about English as a subject and can certainly help students, whether it be to achieve top marks or gain that all important pass! Experience: I have over fifteen years experience teaching both GCSE and A Level English Language and English Literature. I currently work at a leading school as a Head of Department. I am also a Team Leader for national and international exam boards, for which I assess GCSE and A Level exams, this provides me with invaluable insight into and understanding of the exam criteria. I have worked as a private tutor throughout my career and have an excellent reputation as a result of the many successes I have helped pupils to achieve.
