Information about Amy
I`m an experienced and passionate primary school teacher, confident in coaching and delivering Maths and English, including spelling and reading, alongside other non core subjects.
I am also a specialist in French and music (singing) and have a decades experience teaching in these areas.
I am willing to travel to you and can devise lessons and support based on the needs of your child. My teaching style is very flexible, I like to discuss and collaborate with the child and move with their learning needs, rather than follow prescri ptive worksheets. I have found this to work best in the past and children respond very well to this too.
I am willing to work with children and young people between 4 and 13 years old (Ks1/2/3). I am qualified to work with all ages in this bracket but my particular specialism would be in KS2 and I have supported many young people through their SATs, including since the curriculum overhaul. Please email for an informal chat about options.
Availability: My availability is mainly after school or weekends.
If your child is home schooled, I can support during school hours during the week.
I am experienced and comfortable using Skype or Zoom to run lessons if you need to isolate or live more than 25 minutes away.
I offer a discounted rate of £20 if you take 1 hour lessons at my home in Paulsgrove, online sessions or for 45 minute sessions at your home. Alternatively an hour session at your home is £25.
Thanks
Amy

Mrs Sackman is an excellent teacher and Tutor
After a couple of lessons my daughter is very happy and indeed willing to do more , this is because of Mrs Sackmans special way of making subjects interesting and stress free
We are very happy indeed and would continue for sure

Amy is a warm and friendly tutor who got on very well with our two boys (aged 8 and 6) who had weekly sessions over the summer holidays to help keep up their writing. Amy also helped our 4 year old daughter with her phonics at the same time and this has helped her enormously with her reading.

My daughter has really taken to Amy. It`s early days but Amy seems to really understand where my daughter is struggling and is making the learning fun, which is great.
