Experience: I have been tutoring privately for over 10 years, and full-time since 2015.

English Language and English Literature

Many of my students are bilingual or majority speakers of languages other than English. I tutor up to GCSE level in both English Language and English Literature. I also prepare students for Common Entrance 11+ and 13+ examinations. In addition, I tutor in verbal reasoning for SATs, IELTS, GESE and other Secure English examinations.

Mathematics

I tutor up to GCSE level in Mathematics. I also tutor in numerical reasoning for IELTS.

Physics, Chemistry and Biology

I tutor up to GCSE level in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Other Subjects

I tutor French up to GCSE level.

I use my CELTA training to help students learning English as a foreign language. These include child and adult speakers of many other languages, including : French, Mandarin Chinese, Russian, Japanese, Italian, Polish, German and Romanian. Much of this work is vocabulary-based, with a strong emphasis on workplace "survival" English, conversation, interview English, customer service skills, idioms and expressions.
