A research scientist turned teacher, I am keen to assist science students in their understanding of science with enthusiasm. I hold a PhD in biological sciences (University of Reading 2016) and a Post Graduate Certificate in Science teaching and Qualified Teacher status (Teacher Reference Number: 1962562, 2021).

Experience: I have taught science at secondary school level: KS3, KS4 and Biology at KS5 since 2020.
I have taught practical science at university level, assisting with laboratory work and research projects with undergraduate and masters students.
I have also taught as a teaching assistant at primary school level in maths and IT and hold swimming teaching and coaching qualification awards which have allowed me to teach across a range of age groups including primary and secondary school ages as well as adults.
