Highly Experienced Senior Examiner and Lecturer for A-level Philosophy, Religious Studies, IB Philosophy and undergraduate/postgraduate Philosophy (for 22 years), as well as a Dutch language expert. I have Bachelor and Masters degrees in Dutch Studies and Philosophy, a PhD in both areas and a PGCE in teaching Philosophy. I have published articles and books on various themes within Philosophy and Religious Studies.

ALL of my private tutees have gone up at least one grade with my help, with many achieving A*. My many years of experience in teaching and examining as well as my level of knowledge means that you can be certain I know how I can help you improve on your grades. Being a senior examiner (an examiner in charge of other examiners) means that I know exactly what we as examiners expect from top-band answers and this experience means my students often have an advantage over other students and classmates. As an online private tutor I can cater to your needs by providing one-to-one support in understanding the material and planning essays, assignments and exam questions. I cover all specifications (AQA, IB, Edexcel, OCR, WJEC/Eduqas and Cambridge Pre-U) and am able to help with any exam specification. For Religious Studies I cover Christianity, Buddhism and Hinduism. My A-level sessions are designed to help you gain confidence in producing your own top-band answers.

I also teach Dutch, from beginners to advanced level, including those preparing for the Dutch citizenship test and Certificaat Nederlands als Vreemde Taal.

For undergraduate and postgraduate students of Philosophy I help plan and structure your assignments, help with finding the right sources and explain, when necessary, the more challenging aspects of particular philosophies and theories. I can also help with revision for exams. Finally, I also have a Masters in Art and Cultural Science (Area Studies) and teach A-level History of Art (Edexcel specification).

I have published resources, including A-level revision guides for Philosophy and Religious Studies. I am also a Senior Examiner of Philosophy for AQA and the IB as well as an examiner for OCR and AQA A-level Religious Studies. I have tutored many A-level, undergraduate and postgraduate students.
