Information about Tabitha
I am a friendly, passionate and highly experienced English tutor, specialising in Literature, Language and Creative Writing.
I have a First Class Degree in English Literature from the University of Bristol, where I was also awarded two academic prizes in 19th Century and post-medieval literature.
I have a 100% success rate in tutoring children for 11+ entrance exams, and also have extensive experience in working with students at GCSE, A Level, Degree Level and beyond.
I tailor every lesson to each student`s unique learning style, so that our classes are bespoke and highly effective - helping students to achieve top results while fostering a passion for English so that tuition is enjoyed rather than endured!
As well as tutoring, I work as a professional scri ptwriter in theatre, television and audio.
Availability: Monday - Friday.

Experience: I have extensive experience tutoring at a variety of levels including primary, 11+, GCSE, A Level, Degree Level and Adult Learner English.
I have also worked as a reading assistant in primary schools, helping children to develop their skills in phonics, reading and comprehension.
Alongside tuition, I work as a professional scri ptwriter.

Tabitha is an incredibly supportive teacher. She has gone above and beyond to help our daughter. Her lesson preparation is excellent and documents she has shared with us make everything very clear and simple. My daughter has enjoyed her lessons with Tabitha very much. She knows her subjects very well. She is patient and understands how to make the subject interesting. We would recommend Tabitha highly - you will be lucky to have her as your teacher.

Tabitha has managed to work with my son to achieve excellent results in his creative writing, really pushing his use of vocabulary and improving his story structure. This is after a drop in his writing after home schooling so was a much needed lift for him.

Tabitha is a wonderful tutor. She is passionate about her subject and her enthusiasm is contagious as our daughter would claim English to be her favourite subject now. She looks at texts in real detail and at a really sophisticated level so I think our daughter`s analytical ability has really improved as a result.
She is also a lovely girl and really reliable.
