Hello, my name is Konstantinos, I am Head of Psychology at a London college and completed my Doctorate with a specialisation in Child Psychopathology at the University of Oxford. I am a psychologist and accredited member of the British Psychological Society (No. 275465) and a Qualified Teacher (TRN 1770162) and AQA examiner. I have published articles and a book entitled: “Getting into Psychology courses” for students who aim to study Psychology at university.

I have 15 years of teaching experience gained as Head of Psychology at three independent sixth form colleges. I currently head up a Psychology and Sociology department supporting A-level students of all abilities through the examination journey (incl. emotional and behavioural as well as academic support). I also supervise EPQ projects as well as university students with their theses and essays.

I am very proud to say that all the students I have tutored got an A*-A grade in their Psychology exams or increase their grades up to 2-3 grades. My university students also got excellent grades at their university thesis or assignments. Because of my extensive experience in teaching, I know how to simplify the overwhelming amount of material in the specification and what the examiners are looking at the exams. I have prepared booklets which are accessible to all students including students with learning difficulties, workbooks, revision guides and summaries for all topics. I focus a lot on examination and revision techniques.

Experience: I have worked in different clinical settings (NGOs, prisons, mental health charities, a rehabilitation centre, and for the NHS) with clients of all ages and different cultural backgrounds (children with cancer, female prisoners, refugees from Afghanistan, elderly people, people with anxiety, mood and psychotic disorders, alcohol and drug addicts)

l have been assessing clients using psychometric tests, interviews and telephone triage assessments. I delivered CBT-based therapies for depression, anxiety, addiction, social and interpersonal problems and challenging behaviour. I have recently been trained in Mindfulness.
