I have over 17 years of teaching and tutoring experience helping students` across a range of ages, subjects and abilities to achieve their potential; developing the self-confidence to excel at learning. I follow a mentoring and guided-learning approach that enables the student to discover what method of learning works best for them and support them with strategies they can use to aid their own learning. Everybody learns differently and I try to adopt a personalised approach to learning; centred around the individual student. I also try to help shape the whole person, utilising stress management, mentoring and a thrive approach to create confident, well-rounded and resilient learners who possess the skills necessary to succeed in life.

Availability: I am generally very flexible and can schedule a time that best suits your requirements - however, I am not available on a Wednesday or Thursday between 8am - 5pm.

Experience: I have over 17 years of teaching and tutoring experience in a range of subject areas, specialising in English (up to A Level), Physical Education (up to A Level), Biology and Physics (up to GCSE), Psychology, KS3 SATS preparation in Maths, English and Science. I have consistently guided students to achieving at or above their target grades and have helped students achieve above national average grades in GCSE PE and A Level. I have experience of teaching syllabus` across different exam boards and are familiar with the requirements for examinations - utilising strategies to help students understand how to approach different types of examination questions and revision strategies to organise learning for long-term recall. I also specialise in a mentor approach to learning or guided learning across all subjects at KS3 and GCSE level and am happy to guide students through what is required for any subject they are studying at KS3 and GCSE level.
