Information about Jordan

I am a former Nottingham Trent University Law student, and studied English Literature, English Language and Politics at A Level. I engaged with these subjects on both an academic and personal level - studying not just for good grades, but out of a genuine curiosity and passion for knowledge.

Willing to travel: 10 miles

Experience: I mentored first year and second year students during my time at university, helping with essay writing, good English skills and legal method. While at university, I also took part in numerous extra curricular activities, including mooting and essay writing competitions. I have some experience outside of the classroom too, having worked alongside qualified solicitors and barristers on pro bono cases, particularly in Family Law, Employment Law and Human Rights.

While I sat my A Levels, I ran a debating society, where I encouraged my peers to express their views in a sincere, articulate way, with a view to improve skills in critical essay writing.

I have won two awards from academic institutions. In 2017, I won a law reform competition at Hull University, and in 2021, I entered Nottingham Law Society`s Kevin De Silva essay competition, winning 2nd place in a competition with professional lawyers and other students.

In my spare time, I am particularly interested in studying matters of Human Rights law and continue to write about this area as I move towards qualifying in 2022.
