Like the majority of teachers, I have a relentless ambition to deliver continuing success to the young people that we serve. Whilst recognising the demands of the National Curriculum, I am convinced that English is by its very nature a subject which all students should be allowed to achieve and enjoy. Having taught in the UK and at private schools abroad for the last ten years, I understand the ticket to the world education brings.

A continuing education in English not only allows us to stretch our imagination, but also permits us to articulate ourselves, expressing our thoughts, ideas and beliefs, while further enhancing how we communicate with others.

As a primary and secondary school teacher, what is most evident, for me, is the crucial role teachers and tutors can play in the development of young people. It is that role, which is often pivotal, that has become truly important for me and the students within my class groups.
