I`m a King`s College London Graduate with a 2.1 degree in English Language and Communication Studies. I`m a strong communicator and have utilised my communication and research skills while working in the media industry for 6 years. In my most recent role I communicated research findings to The Times/Sunday Times Editorial team. Prior to this I worked for BBC Top Gear.

I completed 1 year of a BEd specialising in English course at the University of Plymouth and I’ve a vast amount of work experience in schools (both primary and secondary), which I undertook throughout my GCSEs and A Levels in order to gain my place on the teacher training course. I also completed a number of school placements during my first year on the Bed course and I’ve home tutored since the age of fifteen.

Availability: Mon - Fri evenings after 5:30pm

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: * My degree course looked at communication (spoken and written) with particular emphasis on conveying meaning precisely in written work (picking out the essential points from research resources while commanding a broad range of vocabulary and critical terminology).

* Work experience with children of different age ranges in a number of schools since the age of fifteen (1 afternoon a week for 2 years during A Level studies) maintaining good humour, tact and patience with the children at all times.

* Planned, taught and reviewed a morning class of 30 children aged 5-6 for 1 month during teacher training.

* Excellent spoken communication skills, ability and confidence to assist both individual and groups of children - tailoring my style and content to the child’s level of knowledge.
