Information about Tasnia

I`m Tasnia, a recent law graduate from the University of Cambridge. I am hugely passionate about education and access to education and find teaching and tutoring immensely rewarding. Education is transformative and I believe it has the power to change pupils` entire future. I believe in fostering a positive learning environment where students feel encouraged and able to express and build on their weaknesses and strengths.

Experience: I`m a recent law graduate from the University of Cambridge! Over the past 5 years, I have accumulated approximately 250+ hours of tutoring and mentoring experience over many subjects including core subjects such as Maths and English to more niche subjects such as History and Sociology. I have experience guiding students through their UCAS applications for law degrees including personal statement support, LNAT support (admissions test) and Oxbridge mock interviews. I have worked with all age groups from 4-18, including SEN students. I believe in implementing an interactive and engaging teaching style, engaging in discussions and debates alongside teaching, about what the answer could be, often challenging students to justify their answers and state their thought processes out loud - a technique/style I adopted from the teaching style at Cambridge. I like to build on both my students’ strengths and weaknesses - interweaving the two to reach an optimum outcome.
