I am an experienced English and Maths teacher with a friendly and positive outlook. I will give you regular written or verbal feedback on your work, and teach you using interactive methods where possible. I will tailor my teaching to your own personal learning style,
to give you the best possible opportunity to improve your learning experience.
Availability: All week, daytimes and early evening.

Experience: I have 34 years teaching experience in schools and colleges, teaching up to GCSE in Maths , A Level English Literature and A Level Language, A Level Media and Film Studies as well as GCSE English. I have worked as a private tutor for over 16 years, tutoring students between the ages of 7 and 18. I have also been an A Level examiner.

Martin has been brilliant in helping our son gain confidence in English, a subject he has never enjoyed and has always struggled with. It is still early days, but Ben is already making progress. We are glad we chose Martin as he is really patient and is happy to adapt his lessons where necessary.

My daughter only had 3 sessions with Martin in preparation for her A level English exams before social distancing curtailed lessons. However,Martin had clearly prepared for the lessons and she found them helpful. He was punctual, pleasant and my daughter was comfortable with him. I would contact him again if any of my children needed extra tuition.

Martin has been teaching Sidney for some time now and has helped Sidney improve his grade considerably. We work with Martin and pass on course work information and Martin comes prepared with books and relevant links to enable Sidney to make progress.
