Happy to offer `virtual` and `actual` tuition or a hybrid.
I am currently Head of Geography in a leading East Sussex school - results at GCSE and A Level are consistently impressive:
Over 50% of GCSE passes at Level 8 or 9
The majority of passes at A Level are A* or A.
My lessons are always interesting and engaging - and always academically rigorous.
Equally happy teaching students who may be struggling as well as academic high-flyers; I`m patient as well as ambitious for my students.
Being an Examiner for AQA Geography provides me with considerable in-sight as to how the `Assessment Criteria` are applied. I have developed a number of significant exam "dos" and "don`ts" which I can share.
Availability: Week-ends, evenings and school holidays are the best times, but happy to consider all requests.

Experience: I have been successfully teaching GCSE and A Level Geography for over 30 years, and have taught in both State and Independent Schools.
I have also been an examiner for GCSE and currently I am an examiner for A Level (AQA).
I recently co-authored a GCSE revision book that has just been published.

Steve came back to my initial contact very quickly. He’s is absolutely ideal for my son who is undertaking a self taught geography A-level from home, and therefore required a lot of support for the subject and the process. He is friendly, extremely knowledgeable in geography and the current teaching standards as he is an active teacher. He has offered lots of advice in supporting material, and set a program that suits my son very well. Besides setting the tutor time sessions, he provides homework and information to keep my son on track for the week ahead. He’s very flexible and accommodating, and always contactable. My son looks forward to his tutor session, “they go in a flash” he says which I feel is the best compliment. They have developed a good working relationship and I feel Steve is genuinely invested in help my son to get a good grade in his geography A-level next year. I’m delighted we found him he gives my son confidence and has helped me with the who process.
