Information about Damian
I am originally from Ireland and sat my final school exams in Ireland. I achieved the top grade in each subject that I sat including Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry. I studied Theoretical Physics at Imperial College London and was awarded a 1st class masters degree. Upon graduating I trained to become a teacher through Imperial`s Inspire scheme which is an accelerated PGCE progamme for people with either master`s degrees or PhDs in Science subjects.
Availability: I am very flexible and am happy to do sessions on weekday afternoons/evenings or on weekends.
Willing to travel: 15 miles
Experience: I have been a qualified Science teacher since 2011 with a specialism in Physics. I have taught Science from ages 11 to 16 with extensive experience of preparing pupils for both Combined Science and Triple Science at GCSE. I have also taught GCSE Maths and GCSE Additional/Further Maths. I am familiar with the AQA, OCR and Edexcel exam boards for GCSE.
I also have a huge amount of experience teaching A-Level Physics, Maths and Further Maths and again I am comfortable with the three major exam boards.
I have been consistently graded as an outstanding teacher by my peers and have won several school level teaching prizes. Many of my pupils have achieved top grades at both GCSE and A-Level with several having gone on to study at Oxford and Cambridge.
