Currently, an Academic Practice Manager within the Coventry University Group. I have two degrees awarded through Nottingham Trent University (the highest a Masters of Science), teamed with an Advanced Diploma in Education and Training from Warwick University. I love teaching and developing curriculum particularly within the traditional and applied scientific fields. I have a passion for supporting those who genuinely want to improve themselves. Grades and performance are certainly of focus, but I believe enjoying education and tutorship is equally vital, so do my very best to ensure a health balance.

I am looking to start a PhD within the next 12 months, which will revolve around creative education techniques and quality assurance. I would therefore like to think that my passion for tutorship and creative performance is reflected in my career enhancing my own education and practice.

Availability: I am looking to tutor during evenings ideally Mon-Thurs. However I could look to be flexible around this if the right client.

My approach to teaching:
I like to take a balanced approach to teaching. Structure and direction, in my opinion are vital. I am a fan of ensuring a full scheme of work is devised, and a plan for results anticipated, set. But equally I do like to check that the learning is progressing in the manner my learner is most comfortable with, and I am open to feedback to get the very best results possible for that individual. Every learner is an individual I do not agree with the `one size fits all` mentality. Overall, I would like to think that I am young, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and disciplined, whilst remaining empathetic.

Experience: I currently hold a BSc (Hons) in Sports Science, an MSc in Health and Welfare (both from Nottingham University), teamed with a Diploma in Education and Training (from Warwick University). I have taught in a University setting since 2013 primarily teaching levels 4-7 (Foundation Degrees through to Masters). However in my recent role change, from Lecturer to Academic Practice Manager, I now also get to tutor Access Courses and Foundation commitments, widening my experience, encompassing the younger learner. I have also come from a family that works within education, and so although not currently involved directly in GCSE and primary school age, have a strong appreciation, with a mother and several friends working directly in the sector.
