Information about Odette
With over 15 years as a qualified teacher and 10 years as a tutor, my experience and knowledge of the English Literature and Language exams benefits my students. As lead teacher of English in an `Outstanding` secondary school in Haringey my expertise has ensured the success of many students.
I am a friendly approachable tutor with a passion for learning and accelerating the progress of all the students that I teach. I fully believe that all individuals can make progress and excel often beyond what is expected of them. As a result, I thoroughly enjoy helping others to achieve their very best.
I believe students should be provided with clear models of success so that they fully understand what is expected in order to succeed. Through engaging challenging materials, questioning and discussion students are able to explore ideas and develop their confidence. The use of past papers and examination mark schemes is crucial for exam success. However, the ability to convey my knowledge in an accessible way for young people has also been noted as a key strength.

Experience: I am responsible for delivering teacher training within my school to support teachers achieving outstanding lessons. Alongside this, I am responsible for G&T and 4/5 borderline intervention, within English, to ensure that these students achieve/exceed targets. This involves producing engaging challenging materials, delivering small group catch up sessions and carefully tracking and monitoring student progress.
