Information about Cecilia

I am a professional editor and writer with over 12 years of experience tutoring English literature and language up to A Level.

I have many tutored students across Birmingham and London and now reside in Liverpool. Many of my students have achieved A* and As in their GCSEs and A Levels and have gone on to top universities to study all subjects, from English to dentistry.

My love of all things writing has given me a fantastic career in publishing and writing, and I currently am a writer and editor for one of the top medical health journals - https://www.medicalnewstoday/authors/cecilia-.

I have been personally asked many times to tutor from recommendations from parents, but also student referrals themselves (including students who insist I tutor them from word of mouth by other students I teach).

I tailor my lessons to be incredibly fun and exciting yet also focus on giving students a thirst for knowledge, literature and the English subject, alongside gaining the highest possible grades.

Availability: Monday to Friday (possibly weekends)

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: I have 12 years experience (since 2012) in tutoring English literature and language as subjects, alongside some periods of teaching English as a foreign language (including having a TEFL Cambridge Scholar Level 5).

I have a university degree from the University of Birmingham: English literature with creative writing (BA)

I have worked with students from top grammar schools such as King Edward’s and King Edward VI Camp Hill School up to GCSE level for English literature and language.

I have not only helped my students achieve top grades but have also inspired a love of reading, writing, comprehension and all kinds of literature.

I have worked and written for numerous publications in the UK and Central America, combining my love of creative writing with my love of travel. I now write and edit for one of the top medical health publications - https://www.medicalnewstoday/authors/cecilia-

I take a structured but fun approach to teaching. I know that from experience, students must enjoy the lesson and enjoy the subject to do well. I am always aiming to build confidence and passion towards English, knowing that it will be integral to success in their exams as well as in later life.

I tailor my lessons to each student’s needs to maximise their full potential.
