I am a graduate of the University of Wales, Aberystwyth obtaining my BSc (Hons) in Geography and obtained my PGCE at the University of Southampton. I was awarded a scholarship to read Geography in 2005 having taken two entrance exams, achieving 100% in the Geography exam and 98% in the Biology exam. Both scholarship exams were undertaken in essay form.

My approach to learning is very much how I apply my own CPD, as I am continually topping up on the latest changes within different geographical fields to enable my case study knowledge to be on point.

I have experience teaching students from a variety of EAL subjects including Spanish, Polish, Russian and Bulgarian - and have successfully created bilingual resources to enable these students to progress.

Availability: Presently I am taking enquiries for the following session availabilities:

Holiday intensive sessions - 2/3 hour block sessions to build subject knowledge

Experience: I am a fully qualified teacher and Head of Department, with a current DBS certificate. Presently, I am the Deputy Head teacher at a hospital school where we follow GCSE and A Level pathways.

In my current role I am responsible for the 6th Form and have had experience teaching 11 to 19 years olds for the past decade, in both mainstream and alternative provision environments.
I have taught 11 to 19 year olds Geography, 11 to 16 year olds RS and have taken on responsibility for whole school literacy initiatives and active learning days.

I have a proven track record of achieving good GCSE and A Level grades from my students and have formed strong relationships with my students and tutees over the time I have spent assisting them in their learning. My ability to form strong working relationships with students has greatly helped in my ability to maximise their potential.

As a Deputy Head and HOD, I am very experienced in running revision and catch up sessions, and can help your child to reach their full potential in their upcoming examinations.
