I obtained a BSc (Hons) in Physics from the University of Lancaster in 1978 and a PhD in 1982. I then did post-doctoral work at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, USA for a year and then at the University of Leeds for two years before joining the academic staff there in 1986. I left Leeds in 2003 to become Head of Physics at South Cheshire College, where I remained until my retirement in 2022.

Availability: Most weekdays between 9 and 5. Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

Willing to travel: 15 miles

Experience: I have taught Physics at Undergraduate Degree level for 17 years and at A level (mostly AQA) also for 17 years. I have also taught a range of Science BTEC courses. I have been a private tutor since 2013. As Head of Physics at a prestigious FE College, I consistently delivered excellent A Level results and received good feedback from students and Ofsted on my teaching.
