I`m a very experienced tutor in English Language and English Literature. My structured, calm and practical approach helps students to develop strategies that work for them by focusing on their strengths and weaknesses. I have helped many pupils to pass their GCSE exams and to improve their grades. I`m also a mother of two boys, 21 and 14, one with special needs. For many years I`ve always tutored family and friends to help them and their children pass exams on top of a successful career in public relations, writing, and marketing. However, I now spend all my time teaching and tutoring English Language and English Literature for pupils Year 7 and above. I love animals and have a passion for tennis (playing and watching). I love travelling and spending time with friends when I`m not walking my dog and playing tennis for my club.

Availability: I have availability at various times on Monday and Wednesday evenings, and Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

Experience: I`ve taught English Language at Carshalton College and since then I`ve helped numerous students on a one-to-one basis to pass English Language and English Literature. To date, I`ve had a 100% success rate. One example is my nephew who came to me in January before his May/June exams on Level 1 and he achieved a Grade 4. A recent student was on a 3 and achieved a Grade 6. I have a friendly, flexible but structured approached backed up with encouragement and regular feedback that really seems to work.
