Information about Alistair

I am the Director of Sports Performance and Excellence at Hanson School in Bradford. I have been teaching PE to students ranging from Key stage 2 to 5 for 10 years now with very good results. I have taught GCSE PE, Level 2 BTEC sport, Level 3 BTEC sport, Level 3 CTECH sport, A-Level sport and PE and Level 2 and 3 BTEC Public services. I have been graded as an outstanding teacher and support all of my students to the best of my ability to ensure they secure the best possible grades in their exams and within their coursework. I am a specialist sports performance coach within athletics and badminton but have also supported students within the development of rugby, football, swimming, rowing, cricket and triathlon. I am an internationally qualified athletics official and have strong links with key sports organisations and universities across the UK so can provide plenty of advice and tuition to individuals whatever their level of study.

Availability: I am available on evenings and weekends as well as school holidays.

Willing to travel: 10 miles

Experience: I have been teaching PE for 10 years at Hanson School and have taught all age groups from Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 5. I am a specialist in the teaching of examination PE and have been very successful in the teaching of GCSE PE, Level 2 BTEC sport as well as level 3 sports courses. I have had various roles at Hanson including supporting Year 6 students with their successful transition into secondary school, being the head of key stage 3 PE and now I am the Director of Sports Performance and Excellence which means I am responsible for the development of our most able sports students at Hanson to ensure they can excel in sport both at school and outside of school as well as be successful within their academic studies. I am a very experienced teacher and will help to secure the best grades for any individual who wants my support. I can help students with developing their understanding of both theory PE and sport as well as of course their ability to carry out the practical aspects of the courses.
